Police Ball at the Station Hotel in Inverness

A Police Ball at the Caledonian Hotel in Inverness. Pictured left to right are Kenneth Morris, Marie Grant, Duncan MacLennan and Jean Robertson (now Mrs Walls) enjoying an evening out. Duncan was a police cadet and Kenneth's family owned a dress shop 'The Fashion Salon' in Inverness.

Jean bought her dress in a sale at Carsons in Inverness, and remembers an older woman at the ball wearing the same dress. She presumably paid the full price and Jean suspects that she would not have been very pleased to see a nineteen-year-old in such an expensive gown!
