Bus in snow, Ord of Caithness, 1956

This bus bound for Wick appears to be stuck in snow on the Ord of Caithness. Several people can be seen standing outside the bus. The Ord is a formidable pass between Caithness and Sutherland. The name 'Ord' comes either from the Gaelic 'ard' or from the Icelandic 'urd', both of which signify a steep hill or eminence.
