On Balmacaan Estate

Three men dressed for an outing standing in front of their car. In the middle is Bradley Martin, an American Industrialist who was to become a great benefactor to the local community. On the left is Frederick Townsend Martin (brother of Bradley) whilst the man on the right is thought to be either Frank Gillette or Francis Dudley Leigh, 3rd Baron Leigh.

The vehicle licence number is LB 4959 which is a London licence. The photograph was taken on the Balmacaan Estate near Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire. The estate house dates from the 16th century and was the summer residence of the Earls and Countesses of Seafield.

In the late 19th and early 20th century it was rented to Bradley Martin.
