Bank of Scotland, Inverness

The Bank of Scotland building - 9 High Street, Inverness. This photograph of the building is an example of the ornate style that many bank buildings were built to. Notice the urns on either end of the first floor exterior and the Grecian temple-like facade that leads up to a triangular frieze at the top. It was built in 1848 and was the Head Office of the Caledonian Bank until 1907. Today the building houses a Smith & Jones pub, operated by Barracuda Group
