This photograph is signed 'Alice' and 'Henry'. Lady Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott was born in 1901. She married the Duke of Gloucester in 1935 and the couple had two sons, William and Richard. The Duke died in 1974 and the Duchess became known as Princess Alice. William died in a flying accident in 1972 and Richard is the present Duke. The couple often visited the Highlands and had a house at Farr, near Inverness
