Claigan is a small coastal township in northwest Skye, on the Waternish peninsula, a few miles north of Dunvegan Castle. As well as the coral beach, Claigan is known for its souterrain, an underground structure, possibly for storage or shelter, dating from the Iron Age and usually associated with a settlement.
