Architectural Audit of Inverness: 47-53 Castle Street, East Side

47-53 Castle Street is a two and three storey block with two pends. Over the gateway a stone carved panel has the inscription "Feir God - Dvt (Doubt) Not" and "H.A. Robertson A. R." The Robertsons of Inshes owned the property on Castle Street from 1448 to 1700s.

The pend under this building has since been filled-in and the carved panel has been removed. The premises are currently occupied by Chisholm's Highland Dress.
