The former British Linen Bank was built in the early 19th century. It was substantially altered by Alexander Ross in 1870 and has shallow pediment over the recessed centre. The British Linen Bank was established in 1746 by Royal Charter. The tops of the pillars are decorated with foliage patterns with women's faces.
