A small village overlooking the Cromarty Firth, situated on Udale Bay on the northern coast of the Black Isle, Jemimaville was founded in 1822. This former estate village was named after Jemima Poyntz, the Dutch wife of a local Munro laird of Ardoch, renamed Poyntzfield.
