This Neolithic chambered cairn at Kilcoy South is situated on the western edge of the Black Isle, overlooking the Beauly Firth, south of the A835 from Tore to Maryburgh. It is approximately 15m in diameter with signs of a central chamber some 1.5m wide. Another cairn of similar size stands approximately 100m due north. Excavations in the 1950s revealed various types of pottery sherds, a saddle quern, white quartz, and skeletal remains of burnt bones.
