61994, The Great Marquess, photographed at Inverness Station arriving on a special railtour service.
This 2-6-0 locomotive was built at Darlington in 1938 as part of the LNER's K4 class and originally numbered 3442. It was designed by Nigel Gresley for use on the West Highland Line from Glasgow to Mallaig, via Fort William. Of the six locomotives in the class, The Great Marquess was the only one which survived into preservation.
