River Ullapool

This photograph shows of view down Ullapool River, in Wester Ross, looking towards mountain of Canisp. The river has its source in Loch Achall and runs westward, through the village of Ullapool, into the large sea-loch of Loch Broom. Loch Achall itself is fed by the River Rhidorroch, which runs down Glen Achall and originiates high in the mountains of the Inverlael Forest as the River Douchary.

Anglers descend seasonally upon the River to fish for salmon and trout.
