Lochinver countryside

This photograph shows a view of the rugged Lochinver countryside, looking towards Suilven, one of the west coast's most distinctive and visited mountains. Suilven is composed of Torridonian red sandstone, and consists of two peaks: Meall Meadhonach, 723m (2410ft); and Caisteal Liath, 731m (2440ft).

Apart from attracting hillwalkers throughout the year, the region also draws other visitors wishing to participate in outdoor pursuits, including angling and stalking.
