Camp at Brackloch

A view of a camp at Brackloch, in the vicinity of Lochinver. Located in the north-west of Sutherland, the rugged scenery, evident in the photograph, is typical of the region.

Suilven, one of Highland's most distinctive mountains, can be seen in the background. Like many of the mountains in the region, it is primarily composed of Torridonian red sandstone, and consists of two peaks: Meall Meadhonach, 723 m (2410 feet); and Caisteal Liath, 731 m (2440 feet).
