Mrs Bradley Martin

Mrs Martin was the wife of Bradley Martin, the American philanthropist who paid for the construction of Blairbeg Hall. When Bradley Martin died in 1913, Mrs Martin retained the tenancy until 1920.

One of the most famous events that the Bradley Martins were involved in was the party in the Waldorf Hotel, where Mr Martin spent $369, 200. Mrs Martin is shown at this event in this photograph, where she is dressed up as Mary Queen of Scots. She is wearing the Crown Jewels of France. She was the largest purchaser of French crown jewels at the fall of the Second Empire
