'Camera Studies' Photograph Album - Loch Lomond and Steamer

A photograph of a steamer docked on the banks of Loch Lomond at around the turn of the twentieth century. A number of steamers operated on Loch Lomond at that time, taking holiday makers and day trippers on short excursions. The steamer seen here is possibly the 'Prince George' or the 'Princess May', which both began working on Loch Lomond in 1898.

The image comes from an album of holiday photographs entitled 'Camera Studies'. It contains 11 photos, all of which was taken in and around the Grantown on Spey area apart from this one. Most of the photographs date from 1904.
