Cairngorm Chairlifts

An postcard of the chairlifts on Cairngorm mountain.

The opening of the White Lady chairlifts on Cairngorm in December 1961 led to the mountain becoming one of Scotland's key winter sports destinations.

The chairlifts operated until they were replaced in 2001 by a funicular railway.
