Glenmore Lodge and Caravan Site

A view of Glenmore Lodge, located in the Cairngorm Mountains, near Aviemore. A caravan site is visible in the foreground, to the right.

Overlooking Loch Morlich, Glenmore Lodge was originally constructed as a Victorian shooting lodge and was used during World War Two as a training base by a company of Norwegian Commandos. Today the lodge is owned by the Scottish Youth Hostel Association and has been renamed as Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel.

The lodge should not be confused with the Scottish National Outdoor Training Centre, which now bears the Glenmore Lodge name.
