Aultguish Drovers Inn

A view of Aultguish Drovers Inn, in Aultguish, Ross-Shire. The Aultguish Drovers Inn was once a popular overnight stop-over for drovers driving their cattle and sheep to the markets at Muir of Ord and Dingwall. The inn has existed at Aultguish for 400 years, on the banks of Loch Glascarnoch, although the building has been altered many times since. The Aultguish Drovers Inn still continues to provide accommodation to this day, although patrons are more likely to be Munro baggers (hill walkers and climbers), rather than cattle drovers.
