This photograph is of the Cameron Pipe Band. The white sporran was introduced as part of the uniform of the Highland regiments in 1952. In 1961, the Cameron Highlanders amalgamated with the Seaforth Highlanders to form the Queen's Own Highlanders, who continued to wear the white sporran until 1970. Cameron of Erracht was the principal tartan worn by the Cameron Highlanders
