'Brochan Lom' is a traditional Gaelic children's song. It is arranged and sung here by Christina Stewart, a performer and teacher of traditional Scottish songs.

Refrain
Brochan lom, tana lom,
Brochan lom a sùghain (x3)
Brochan lom, 's e tana, lom,
's e brochan lom a sùghain

Verse
Brochan tana, tana, tana
Brochan lom a sùghain (x3)
Brochan lom, 's e tana, lom,
's e brochan lom a sùghain

(Standing in a circle, ask one child and their parent to stand in the middle holding a wooden spoon. They 'stir' while the reat of teh group moves round like the porridge in the pan. In the verse, all the circle stand in place and shake whole body or gently bounce, like boiling porridge. Repeat from the start, taking turns to 'stir', giving each child a turn.)

The song is included in Christina Stewart's CD, 'Bairn's Kist', a collection of traditional Scottish songs designed to encourage adults to sing, play and connect with young children. Christina, a native of Inverness, studied traditional song as part of her university degree. She now works with all age groups, teaching and performing traditional songs.
