A train arriving at Beauly Station, September 1959

This photograph shows an up train arriving at Beauly Station in September 1959.

Beauly is a station stop on the Far North Line. It was opened on 11 June 1862 but was closed in the 1960s. However, after a public campaign, a new platform, shelter and car park were built and opened in 2002. The original station buildings are now used as offices and housing.
