Borrobol Station from a train.

This photograph shows Borrobol from a northbound train.

Borrobol was a short platform between Kildonan and Kinbrace on the line to Wick and Thurso. It was opened for passenger services about 1880 and closed on 29 November 1965. It was a request halt. Passengers wishing to join the train operated a lever which lowered the signal which can be seen beside the small waiting shelter. The platform was on the south side of the line. There was also a siding which was opened about 1900 and closed on 18 May 1964.
