This photograph shows Broomhill Station on the Strathspey Railway before it was reopened, looking north-eastward.

Broomhill was opened by the Inverness & Perth Junction Railway on 3 August 1863 and closed to passengers on 18 October 1965 and to goods on 25 January 1965. The track was later removed and all the buildings demolished.

The line from Boat of Garten to Broomhill was rebuilt by the Strathspey Railway and reopened in 1997 on the same site, complete with this replica station building and signal. Steam trains run during the summer months from Aviemore to Boat of Garten. The station has been used as 'Glenbogle' in the BBC series "Monarch of the Glen".
