Brora Station lookng south

This photograph shows the Brora Station, on the line to Wick and Thurso, and was taken from northbound platform. The station building was completed in 1895, when it replaced an earlier building. The signal box in the distance was one of two provided to operate the points and signals at the station.

Brora was opened for passenger services on 1 November 1870 as part of the Duke of Sutherland's Railway. Goods services commenced not long after and were withdrawn in January 1984. The station is served by passenger trains to Wick.
