This locomotive was a 'Big Ben' class locomotive. She was built in 1909 and was No. 62 on the Highland Railway. She was given the number 14422 by the London Midland & Scottish Railway and was scrapped in March 1937.

Elgin Station opened on 25 March 1858 and, after Inverness, was the largest town on the Highland network.
