This photograph shows LMS 5167 on a down freight train in the up loop at Kingussie in June 1937. The locomotive, a Black Five, was built in 1935 by Armstrong Whitworth. It was withdrawn in 1967.

Kingussie, on the Highland Main Line, was opened by the Inverness and Perth Junction Railway in September 1863. It closed to goods traffic in October 1965 but remains a station stop for passenger services.
