This photograph shows 54463 on train at Tain in September 1958.

The locomotive, a 4-4-0, was built for the Caledonian Railway in Glasgow in 1910. It was numbered 115. After the grouping it became 14463 and continued in service until 1962.

Tain station was opened by the Inverness and Aberdeen Junction Railway (I&AJR) on 1 June 1864. The I&AJR was one of the companies which merged to form the Highland Railway in 1865. It is still served by regular services.
