LMS Class 5, 4974, leaving Aviemore in September 1946. The service is the 8.20am from Inverness.

4974 was built at Crewe Works in May 1946. It was withdrawn from service in June 1966 and scrapped in April of the following year. The Class 5 locomotives were designed by William Stanier. Commonly known as 'Black Fives', 842 were built between 1934 and 1951.
