'Life in the Highlands' was produced in 1936 by the G. B. Instructional Films Bureau as a teaching aid for schoolteachers. It was filmed by J. Blake Dalrymple and directed by John C. Elder.

It shows: a map of the Highland region; mountainous landscapes, rivers and lakes, croft houses, harvesting techniques, potato digging, water collection, livestock management, sheep shearing, spinning, weaving, and peat gathering.
