17704 (originally HR 55) was a member of the Highland Railway's 'Barney' class of 0-6-0 locomotive. It was built by the North British Locomotive Company in 1907, some seven years after the first member of the class. It was renumbered 37 in August 1921 and continued in service until being withdrawn in December 1946.
