44258, an 0-6-0T steam locomotive, was built for the LMS in 1926 to a design by Henry Fowler. It was part of that company's 4F-C class. At the time of nationalisation it was based at Perth South shed. It was withdrawn from service in May 1962 and disposed of the following month.
