55269, an 0-4-4T steam locomotive, was built for the LMS in 1925. It was a development of the Caledonian Railway's 439 Class, designed by John F. McIntosh. It was numbered LMS 15269. At the time of nationalisation it was based at Corkerhill shed. It was withdrawn from service in March 1962 and disposed of in November 1963.
