An unidentified Type 2 diesel waiting to depart Wick on 'The Orcadian' in July 1962. 'The Orcadian' was the name of the boat train service which ran between Inverness and Wick and connected with the Orkney & Shetland Steamship Company ferry services to Stromness in the Orkney Islands.

The locomotive is most likely either a Class 26 or Class 27 diesel.
