LMS 15013 on train in the bay at an unidentified station

LMS 15013 on a mixed train in the bay at an unidentified station.

15013 was a Highland Railway 'Yankee' tank engine. These were originally designed for a railway in Uruguay but were not delivered. After a trial period on branch line duty the two locomotives were bought by the Highland Railway in 1892 and a further three were ordered. Originally numbered 101 by the Highland Railway it was renumbered twice: to 101A in July 1919 and then back to 101 in August 1922. After the grouping it became LMS 15013 and was eventually withdrawn in July 1934.
