HR 88 with a motor car on a flat wagon

HR 88 on train at a station on the Kyle line. On the other track is a motor car on a flat wagon. The car's registration number is WS 109.

HR 88 was a member of the Highland Railway's class of 4-4-0 tender engines known as 'Skye Bogies'. They were built at the company's own Lochgorm Works in Inverness and were intended to work primarily on the Dingwall and Skye line. It was completed in April 1895 and continued in service until being withdrawn in December 1926. Despite being designated LMS 14281 after the grouping this number was never actually applied.
