Cuillin from Bracadale

This photograph shows the Cuillin from the village of Bracadale.

The Cuillin are a range of rocky mountains located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The true Cuillin are also known as the Black Cuillin to distinguish them from the Red Hills across Glen Sligachan. The Cuillin contain 12 Munros (Scottish peaks over 3000 feet (914metres)) including Sgurr Alasdair, the highest at 3258 feet (993 metres), Sgurr nan Gillean and Sgurr Dearg (the Inaccessible Pinnacle).

A village on the west coast of the Isle of Skye, Bracadale lies at the head of Loch Beag, which leads to Loch Bracadale, 10 miles north of the Cuillin Hills.
