Glen Nevis, a scenic glen in the Lochaber district, runs south from Fort William below the southern face of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles.

Glen Nevis is home to the Cameron family name and has been since 1536. During the Jacobite rebellion Glen Nevis was a place where Highlanders would plan their attacks on the Fort where the garrisoned English soldiers were kept under siege for two days in April 1746.
