Eden Court

The Eden Court Theatre opened in 1976 and was named after Robert Eden who was elected Bishop of the diocese of Moray and Ross in 1851. It was designed by architects Law Dunbar Naismith with a hexagonal theme and incorporated the gothic Bishop's Palace residence into the new building. The theatre plays an important role in the cultural life of Inverness and the Highlands and Islands. It underwent a major refurbishment and expansion between 2005 and 2007, making it now the largest multi-arts centre in Scotland.
