The Williamsons

The Williamsons - Katie and her brothers John and Peter, from Ardgay, were a family of Travelling people seen here on their last journey to the west coast by horse & cart. They were leaving Inchnadamph, where they had spent a few days, on their way home. The journey would have taken two or three days. Timothy Neat writes about the Williamsons in his book 'The Summer Walkers' (Edinburgh: Canongate, 1996)
