This postcard shows the villages of Scourie and Scourie More on the west coast of Sutherland.

Originally crofting townships, these villages now attract many walkers, anglers and birdwatchers. Scourie is renowned for palm trees, growing in the gardens of Scourie House, a result of the warming effects of the Gulf Stream. The nearby island of Handa is a Nature Reserve with a large population of seabirds which include puffins and guillemots
