This postcard shows a woman and two children standing outside a cottage in Dreggie, near Grantown-on-Spey. It has recently been brought to our attention that the lady in the picture is Madeline [Cameron] Smith. Her children, Jessie and James, are by her side. The Smith family lived at 'Easter Dreggie' as far back as the early to mid-1800s. They were tenant farmers on the Seafield Estate.
