M.V. Lochmor at Lochmaddy

Duncan 'Squeaky' Robertson, Captain of the Lochmor is seen here leaning on the bow of his ship. A hugely popular local character, he no doubt enjoyed meeting friends in the various ports the Lochmor stopped on the Mallaig, Kyle, Uist and Harris route. The boat was built for David MacBrayne Ltd in 1930 and was in use for the next 34 years
