Royal Visit

The Duke and Duchess of York arrived in Kyle of Lochalsh by train on 11 September 1933 to begin a short visit to the area. They spent a short time on the mainland, then took a motor launch to a waiting yacht, the Golden Hind which was anchored in the bay. After some time on the yacht, they landed in Kyleakin on Skye, and toured the island stopping in Portree, Portnalong and Dunvegan
