Kyle Hotel

The Kyle Hotel pictured here was built originally as a small inn. With the arrival of the railway in Kyle of Lochalsh in 1897, the building and business expanded. Land was probably available at nominal prices and some quite substantial buildings were constructed to meet with the new outlook in economy and the increase in tourists, travellers and freight. To the right of the hotel, is the Royal Bank of Scotland built c1896 as the Commercial Bank
