Interior, Church of Scotland, Kyle of Lochalsh

The Church of Scotland in Kyle was officially opened on 25th July 1901. With the completion of the railway line from Stromeferry to Kyle in 1897, the population of the village grew considerably making it central to life on that coast. A press account of the time describes the church as providing 'seating for 180 worshippers, faultless and extremely tasteful in every respect'. The Communion table is a replica of one that was in All Saints Church, Derby, and was gifted to Kyle by Lord Blytheswood, the then proprietor of Lochalsh
