Beinn Alligin, the Jewelled Mountain, rears here above Loch Torridon. The mountain consists of Torridonian red sandstone, in common with other famous mountains in the vicinity, such as Beinn Eighe and Liathach. Beinn Alligin is a popular destination for hikers and consists of three peaks: Na Rathan, 866m (2887ft); Tom na Gruagaich, 922m (3024ft), and the mountain's highest point, Sgurr Mhor, which stands at 984m (3232ft).
