Group of Actors in a Jacobite Play

This postcard shows a group of actors taking part in a play performed at Thurso. The name of the play is unknown. The actress sitting on the left plays 'Flora MacDonald' and to her right is 'Lady Ann'. The gentleman standing on the left plays 'Lochiel' and to the far right is 'Sir James'.

Playing 'Sir James' is Mr Adam Anderson Gordon. Adam Anderson Gordon was a lieutenant with the Seaforth Highlanders and fought in World War I. The back of the postcard is addressed to Miss A. Cameron. Annie Cameron and Adam Anderson, both from Golpsie, married in 1916. After the war years they moved to Ord Cottage, Muir of Ord.
