Group of children with two ladies

This photograph shows a group of children with two ladies. The only person known in the photo is John Gordon, in the middle row on the far right. In adulthood John became a signalman and fought in the Second World. During his time in the Signals he served in Malaya and was captured by Japanese soldiers. He spent a period of three years as a prisoner of war before being repatriated in 1945. In later years he became the proprietor of the music shop 'The Record Rendezvous', located at Church Street in Inverness.
