This photo shows Adam Gordon and his son Adam Gordon. Adam Gordon Senior was a Seaforth Highlander and fought in World War I. He married Annie Cameron during the war years and they later lived at Ord Cottage Muir of Ord.

Adam was their eldest son. He was a flight officer in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Adam's younger brother was John Gordon, a signalman during World War II. After the war years John became the proprietor of the music shop 'The Record Rendezvous', once located at Church Street in Inverness.
